Escapades in emergency

Damn plastic beds that are lacking in the length and width department
Damn gowns that dont do up properly
And whats up with not giving a pained girl some morphene!
What kind of hospital ARE you?!

The night had been going smashingly. John and I went to Sally's and were having a ball playing Trivial Pursuit. Just to clear up the rumours I did in fact win. We each had 4 pie pieces, but it was I whom did in fact win. Afterwards we cranked the music and John and I perfomed the best dance of our careers to "Illuminations". We were so graceful, the stuff dreams are made of. Boy that song is a long one, like 10mins, we worked up quite the sweat. Soon after, the dancing turned into a wrestling match - (also safe to say that *ahem* I won ... yeah right, he is freakishly strong, like Monica from friends) After that was all over and we settled down it was about 230am maybe(?) Then I noticed that my stomach was getting those pains again. So I lied down and John felt around and it hurt like a bitch when he was pressing down. So long story short, the non-emergency number was called, and Sally's mom (who's a nurse) was called and they all said to get to the hospital. I got upset cause I have a fear of that darned place but we loaded into the car about 4am(?) and they whisked me away to Peace Arch. Sally held my hand the whole time, she's such a sweetheart. John fell asleep, are you surprised? hehe... but he was really great too - made sure everything was ok. I got a tiny little room in emergency with a tiny little bed that John crawled into as well. Sally pulled up a chair and the blanket that I had around me when I got there and put her feet up on the bed and we all napped. After about an hour, a nurse came in. "Wow, it's a party in here! Im going to have to ask you guys to leave, I gotta check this one" haha. John attempted to get up from the bed and stumbled into the wall. Loved it. Another long story short - they took my blood and pee and whatnot and deduced it was not appendicitis and that I should follow up with my family doctor for an ultrasound. Omg, the nurse that took my blood was so funny. I was all scared and she was like "Oh. I guess this isnt the best time to tell you that this is my first time doing this." I was like "uhhhhh, no!" lol *she was obvisouly joking* That made things easier. We were outta there by about 830am. So all of you that were telling me to get this checked out, done.

I was definetly looking hot I MUST say. That blue gown matched my eyes nicely and the hospital bracelet made my arm skin stand out and Im sure my hair looked real hot. C'mon.

I went right to sleep when I got home and woke up just a few hours ago, so lets hope Brea gets some more sleep tonight with no trips to the hospital. But keep your phones near you just in case;)
